A goodbye to Trika at Home (in this current structure!!) & a hello to a new Trika at Home in Jan 2025

It's time to say goodbye to Trika at Home in its current form!

Firstly we want to say THANK YOU 🙏🏽 for all the support. Honestly, writing this blog about it is a huge trip down memory lane, and taking our memories back a good number of years. For those who are relatively new to the studio (i.e. joined us the past few years 😊), Trika at Home started when Covid hit.

We remember the quick, quick, quick brainstorm that had to happen that week in March 2020 - and as we write, the memories and sensations come flooding back! -The tentative uncertain feeling around the street and in the studio, the testing of our first set of equipment to try the livestreams, the countless hours behind the scenes of creating a system for everything to work, the endless changes over the months and years of needing to adapt to changes in rules.. it has been a wild ride, we've gotta say.

We will try to dig out some classic scenes of the Home classes - one that pops to mind and one that us as a team still giggle about is when Sarah was teaching a livestream + in person class (with 6 people at the studio - who remembers this beach vibe curtain situation w plastic sheeting in between?!) with the side door open.. doing a relaxing savasana.. when a pizza delivery person popped their head in and went 'DID ANYONE ORDER A PIZZA?' and everyone burst out laughing at the hilarity of the situation..

Or when we were all teaching from our individual homes (because public places were closed) and again, during savasana (there seems to be an emerging theme with savasana..) a very tall lamp slowly started tipping and fell over during one of the classes. 

Or various pets blocking and appearing in the classes...

There have also been frustrations through the years and till this day - trust us we know! From links erroring in being sent to you, to human errors like mics running out of battery, to internet issues like the signal going down, or the computer logging everything out at it's own whim.. So thank you for your patience, support and understanding - we literally created the back end of the system ourselves all those years ago from scratch. 🙏🏽

So from the 27th December, our Trika at Home system will be ending. It is bittersweet - we know that some of you still use it, and find it so helpful because you can't make it to the studio! SO for those of you who do that - don't worry - in Jan 2025 we are kicking off a new way you will be able to still practice with us online!

& till that launches proper, our Trika at Home Youtube channel has quite a few videos (and more that we will be adding!) for you to keep practicing with us in the meantime. 

And for those who attend in person classes - (for those classes that still have the Home option), this means that  our teaching team will be able to give you their fullest attention, without the distraction of the computer being in the room. 

It feels like a closing of a chapter, and also an opening of a new one - but rest assured plans are already underway with putting in place our new Trika at Home offering for you. We literally enjoy so much brainstorming ways to better serve you and the wonderful area and city we live in. 🤓 Thank you, once again, for all the support on our current Home system, and see you at the studio, or in 2025 for the newer iteration of our online studio!!
