The habit of winding down: why our 8.30pm classes are a lovely evening ritual ๐ท๐
There is something beautiful about Bristol in the Spring. Weโre starting to see longer stretches of daylight, which is SO welcome after Winter. We think itโs the perfect time to nourish that new energy by creating a space for yourself to land with a wind down evening ritual - caring for our nervous systems at the end of the day..
Our 8:30pm Monday to Thursday classes, and a 7.15pm Friday evening class is a mixture of Flow + Yin with a focus on our Yoga practice bridging the gap between a busy day,ย to positively down regulating our nervous systems for better sleep, and destressing.ย
~ By coming onto the mat at this time, youโre telling your brain and body that the day that came before that point is officially over. ๐
We start the class with a gentle flow, movement that aims to shake out the day for you to be able to land in our Yin section of the class, where we enjoy supported, floor based holds that soothe our muscles, and physically signal to our bodies that it is safe to let go of the day's stress.ย

Most of our community find that by the time they leave the studio at 9:30pm, their heart rate has slowed, "mental chatter" has quieted, and the nervous system has had a helpful shift into the "rest and digest" mode to end your day on.ย
This is a lovely time to nip out, after the kid's bedtime, after you've had some space from the workday, after your dinner; to take that space for you after a long day. And if you're totally new to Yoga, wondering if this is the class for you? Well, whether youโve been practicing for years or youโve never seen a yoga mat in your life, you are always welcome here. Our studio is and always will be a warm, inclusive space, where we aim to share ways that simply make you feel better than when you walked in.
If you fancy joining, here is a link to our classes. ๐ See you on the mat.ย
