With your Baby: Postnatal Pilates and Postnatal Yoga in Bedminster

If you’ve recently welcomed a new baby to the family, first of all—congratulations! Between the sleepless nights and the constant lifting, your body has been doing some amazing work. However we also know how tiring it is, caring for a new family member and balancing a new family dynamic, and on top of that, recovering yourself from the change that pregnancy and the post-pregnancy time brings.

At Trika we've dedicated a section of offerings to the prenatal and postnatal period of your life. We know that getting out of the house with a baby can feel like a military operation- it's sometimes smooth, sometimes pretty stressful in itself! With us, you'll find a warm, welcome environment, where you can turn up whenever you can make it (please never worry about being late!), have your baby cry without judgement, or even let yourself take as many breaks as you need during class - honestly sometimes just having a moment to stop is part of the recovery you may need!

Our Postnatal Pilates sessions are all about helping you find your "center" again. We focus on functional, responsive movement that supports the reconnection in your body. By targeting the deep core and pelvic floor with gentle yet precise moves, we hope to help you rebuild strength from the inside out. It’s a wonderful way to feel physically empowered and stable, ensuring you have the "roots" of a strong foundation from within.

Postnatal Yoga also are all about finding your center! We focus on utilising the breath to reconnect ourselves to our bodies, to find strength within our postures, and to help develop a sense of calm that we hope carries you through the day. These sessions also hope to work on release of any deep-seated tension in the neck, chest, and shoulders - areas that we use more when looking after our babies. We use mindful movement and soothing breathwork to help calm the nervous system and give you a much-needed mental reset.

We have 2 Postnatal Parent & Baby classes on the schedule;
• Tuesdays Yoga: 10.45 - 11.45am with Sarah
• Thursdays Pilates: 10.45 - 11.45am with Sylvia
